Founded in 1999, The Cricket School of Excellence powered by Ryan Maron (CSE) has grown to become one of South Africa’s leading cricket schools running in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Rustenburg.

The Cricket School of Excellence powered by Ryan Mason's mission is to develop cricketing superstars in a fun environment through cutting edge technical and behavioural training.

CSE has a national footprint of qualified coaches specialising in skills development, mental strength development, batting, bowling and fielding expertise.

Holiday Clinics - Holiday Cricket Activities for Youths

Clinics run for 3/4 days and are held at numerous venues around the country every school holiday during both winter and summer. The clinics cover a broad range of skills, cricket topics and including general knowledge and playing etiquette. On registration, each participant is given a CSE shirt and a water bottle. On the last day family members can enjoy the Prize Giving where each child receives a certificate, prizes and a SA Cricket Magazine.

CSE holiday clinics cover all aspects of the game for ages 4 – 13.  Coaches work to a specific programme and cover batting, bowling, fielding, general knowledge, sportsmanship and etiquette of the game.

Students to bring:

• Personal equipment (names clearly marked).
• If your child has all the equipment then they must bring it along, if they only have a bat then that is sufficient.  If they have no equipment, they can borrow a bat from one of the other children.
• Boy's age 9 and up will need to bring their own box (abdominal guard).
• Packed lunch
• White shorts / longs
• Sunscreen

The Summer Holiday Cricket Clinics are very popular so please do book as early as possible.

Group Coaching 

CSE conduct group coaching sessions during cricket season at various schools around the country for that extra bit of attention & practice needed before the game on Saturday. To give CSE students enough individual attention, they have a ratio of max 8 players per coach. 

Ages 4 - 13 (boys and girls)

• Rules, captaincy and etiquette
• Running between wickets
• Agility, Balance, Coordination, Speed
• Match related games to be played each week
• All round technique improvement

1 on 1 Coaching - Private Coaching 1-on-1 | 2-on-1 | 3-on-1

Private cricket coaching will allow your child to enjoy personal 1 on 1 attention with one of the CSA qualified coaches. Their coaches will cover specific points of the game with an aim to focus on the more detailed aspects. Batting, bowling, fielding as well as mental aspects of the game are covered in depth.

CSE MINI - Extra Mural Sporting Activities for Pre/Nursery School Students Aged 4-6

CSE presents "CSE MINI". As the word MINI is intended, the Cricketing programmes associated with the MINI version are for the children aged 4-6.

MINI Cricket offers age appropriate and fun Group Coaching. It also hosts MINI cricket parties for those that aspire to have a fun filled 2 hour party, school holiday clinics and hosts Group MINI Cricket Extra Murals at a number of Pre-Schools/Nursery Schools around the Western Cape.

Background

Ryan Maron is the founder of the Cricket School of Excellence and is a Cricket South Africa level 3 coach. Ryan played through the ranks of Western Province (provincial) cricket and was selected to represent Western Province from 1997 to 2000.  He continued to represent WP ‘B’ up until 2004.  His coaching experience includes successful stints as head coach at Rondebosch Boys’ High School and several prominent clubs in the Netherlands, United Kingdom and Denmark. Ryan has also worked closely with the Afghanistan and West Indies national sides as well as short stints with the Dolphins and SWD domestic teams.

Vision

The Cricket School of Excellence will be franchising its professional and structured model into all major cities in South Africa. CSE will ensure continuity for all aspiring cricket players through the replication of its established model since 1999.
