Children hop on and off for free with our 3-for-1 Kids’ Special

It is time for City Sightseeing’s annual 3-for-1 Kids’ Special again, which means you can take two kids (under 18) along for free when you buy one adult one-day ticket. The special runs from 1 May to 8 October 2019 and will be valid on weekends, school holidays and public holidays.

Children can take in the sights and sounds of the city with their very own channel to listen to and a free activity book. They’ll also love these stops along the way:

The Two Oceans Aquarium (stop 1)

The Aquarium makes for an exciting first stop for the whole family, offering a variety of display tanks, interactive experiences, a touch pool and the well-known predators’ tank. Visit the aquarium at feeding time and watch the flurry of activity.

The Clock Tower (stop 2)

Don’t forget to visit the Chavonnes Battery Museum and experience the early history of Cape Town and this bustling port. The Clock Tower Centre also houses a number of arts and crafts outlets for purchasing souvenirs to remember your special day. Visitors get 20% off on entry to the Chavonnes Battery Museum on presentation of a City Sightseeing ticket.

Table Mountain Cableway (stop 7)

For those memorable holiday snaps, hop on the Red City Tour bus to Table Mountain Cableway. Go up the mountain in a cable car, take in the 360-degree views of the Cape Peninsula and see how many animals you can spot. Skip the ticket queue by buying your Cableway ticket on the bus.

Kirstenbosch Gardens (stop 20)

All of this exploring has probably made you hungry, and what better place to have lunch than at Kirstenbosch Gardens? Renowned for the beauty and diversity of its Cape flora, this  is the perfect stop. Even better than the view, is the 10% discount each red bus passenger receives on his or her meal at Moyo Kirstenbosch.

World of Birds (stop 22)

Don’t forget to also hop on the Blue Mini Peninsula Tour and visit the World of Birds. This unique stop is home to more than 3 000 birds and over 400 different species of small animals, which means you can look forward to your very own Cape Town safari.

Combine the 3-for-1 Kids’ Special with our Pensioner Special

During school holidays the 3-for-1 Kids’ Special can be combined with our Pensioner Special, which runs on Tuesdays and Fridays. The Pensioner Special allows pensioners to buy half-price tickets for the red bus and Harbour Cruise at any stop or on the bus (not available online). Combining the two means grandpa and grandma can get a 50% discount on their tickets on Tuesdays and Fridays and take along the grandchildren for free! Hop on the bus at any stop but remember to bring your barcoded South African ID along to qualify for the Pensioner Special.

Visit www.citysightseeing.co.za to learn more about our various tours to keep the little ones busy these school holidays.
