Do you love trains? I know my 3 year old is absolutely smitten with trains. And of course, what 3 year old wouldn’t love Thomas the train. I have been collecting Thomas the train for years with my oldest (5) and this set, The Thomas & Friends Cassia Crane and Cargo set is by far my favourite and by the squeals of delight my 3 year olds favourite too!

The kids can use their fine motor skills to help the crane to grab and load the barrels onto the engine’s cargo car, then flip the switch to send Thomas racing around the railway tracks to make the delivery! The little barrel then gets automatically dumped down the cargo shute.

I would definitely recommend this set for all small kids. I think what I really like about it, apart from all the moving parts, is that my 3 year old has not stopped playing it for 3 days. He has also taken apart and rebuilt the track a few times – that is what little boys love to do. The tracks, by the way, are compatible with other TrackMaster sets.
