Canal Walk has proudly brought the magic of live theatre to families across Cape Town — creating a much-loved tradition that has delighted audiences year after year. With the exception of the pause during the Covid years, our annual winter family productions have become a cornerstone of Canal Walk’s commitment to accessible, joyful entertainment.
This year’s production of Aladdin is more than just a show — it’s a celebration of a legacy. Over the years, hundreds of thousands of young South Africans have stepped into the world of theatre for the very first time right here, beneath our starry stage lights. For many, these performances sparked a lifelong love of storytelling, music, and imagination.
