This is a very simple and yummy craft idea to occupy the kids.

You will need:

  • Packet of jelly beans
  • Length of string
  • Sharp, thin and quite long needle ( mommies will have to help here)

Take the needle and thread with the string. Place the needle through the jelly bean and continue to do this until you have your bracelet the size you want it.

Sticking with the Easter theme, this activity can also include a lesson. The jelly bean prayer is a cute way to show the true meaning of Easter.

This Easter craft idea takes a little more time, but with a little practice, you can make the cutest little things.

You will need:

  • Some  wool
  • Scissors
  • Fork
  • Small sheep face cut out, wallet size or smaller

Instructions:

  • Cut off a fairly long piece of wool from the ball and set aside.
  • Start to wrap the wool around the fork for up to a maximum of 50 times
  • Cut the end piece off
  • Take the separate piece of wool you cut in the beginning and push it through the middle of the fork and tie this piece around your wool wrapped around the fork.
  • Remove your entire piece off the fork and tie the loose piece of wool really tight.
  • Cut the loops formed on each side.
  • Pom-Pom will be taking shape
  • Trim the pom-pom until you have an even round ball
  • Glue your sheep face print out onto the pom pom.

Here is a video on how to make the pom-pom that will make it a bit easier to understand.

4. Easter basket using a paper plate

This Easter paper plate basket is easy and fun to make. A great kids craft idea.

You will need:

  • Paper plate x2
  • Paint
  • Scissors
  • Glue, tape or staples to stick together

First of all, take your paper plate and paint your design on the back of the plate. This will be on the outside when folded into the basket. You can also decorate the front side to make it look nice when placing your sweeties inside the basket. Take your second plate and cut half the rim off and when finished with the basket, stick this onto the basket to make the handle

Once everything has dried you have to now cut and fold the paper plate. On the front of the paper plate draw with a pencil a line from top to bottom and one from side to side so the lines cross in the middle. Measure about 7.5cm from the edge of the paper plate inwards.

Cut along this line. You will now have four flaps, fold each flap so that each quarter will overlap its neighbor forming the basket. Glue or staple the plate together.
