Bluey’s Big Play: The Hit Stage Show Comes to South Africa for the First Time!

Families in Cape Town and Johannesburg are in for a treat as everyone's favourite Blue Heeler pup, Bluey, takes to the stage for the first time ever on African soil. Following huge success in Australia, the UK, USA, and beyond, Bluey’s Big Play promises an unforgettable theatrical experience for young fans and their families.

Catch Bluey’s Big Play live at the Artscape Theatre in Cape Town from 26 June to 6 July 2025, and at Montecasino’s Teatro in Johannesburg from 9 July to 20 July 2025. With colourful puppets, iconic sets, live performers, and all-new original music, the show brings Bluey, Bingo, Mum, and Dad to life in a brand-new story made just for the stage.

The story follows a typical day in the Heeler household, where Bluey and Bingo use all their energy and creativity to get Dad off the bean bag and into their imaginative games. From sunrise to bedtime, expect laughter, heartwarming family moments, and lots of surprises.

Bluey’s Big Play is suitable for all ages, with a running time of just 50 minutes—perfect for little attention spans. It’s an ideal outing for the winter school holidays and a great introduction to live theatre for young children.
