Easy and affordable craft ideas to do with kids

Arts and craft is a great way to entertain the kids and keep them busy over the holidays. In general, you don’t want something that requires hours to complete, or something that is expensive and needs all kinds of tools to finish. The project must be quick and easy to do so that all you have to do is have lots of fun.

Holidays art and craft activity - hand art

Onto idea number three, this one requires a bit more effort but is just as easy to do.

All you will need for this craft project is:

  • some scrap paper,
  • glue
  • glitter or other shiny objects or beads and some
  • Popsicle sticks.

First, trace your child’s hand onto the paper and cut the hand print out of the paper (If they are old enough to do this themselves, it is a great hand eye coordination exercise). Once you have your hand image, your imagination can go wild and you can customize your cut out into anything you want. Some ideas are to make a fish puppet for an underwater theme or just draw funny faces onto the paper. Glue the cut out onto the Popsicle stick and let everything dry out completely. Once dry the kids can perform their own puppet show or go on creative adventures of their own.
