The first of its kind in KZN; Acrobranch Adventure Park is an outdoor activity on which participants move from one tree to the next, through challenging obstacle courses like cargo nets, crossing extension bridges, crawling through barrels and even suspended wooden benches whilst safely harnessed and continuously connected to a steel, safety line with state of the art safety equipment.

It is a great way to test one's balance, strength and focus and also to conquer possible fear of heights. There are different courses for all different fitness and ability levels, age groups and heights. Whether you are looking for a family outing or an adrenaline rush, Acrobranch is the natural place

Children’s Activities + fun family adventures in Pietermaritzburg

Acrobranch obstacle courses offer the perfect entertainment that keeps the kids going for hours on end. The Acrobranch activities are great for personal growth and development as it challenges a child’s motor skills and develops balance and strength as well as self-confidence.

Self-catering is allowed at the Pietermaritzburg Park.
Please note that balloons are not allowed at the park, unfortunately; no exceptions.
You are allowed to bring your picnic blanket/basket or alternatively book a table through our Bookings Office for 3 hours (incl. set-up, use & clearing). 1 Table seats 6 guests.
Should you book 1 table, you will be charged R 250 for the 1st table and R 200 per additional table booked. Example: 1 table R 250, 2 tables R 450, 3 tables R 650, 4 tables R 850 etc. Kindly inform our Bookings Office of how many tables will be required for your group & the time you want to book the tables for. Tables are limited.
The Restaurant on the premises of the Botanical Gardens is currently under revamp and not open to the public at this stage.
You are very welcome to bring your own bottled water.

Age-appropriate challenges: Activities for toddlers to pre-schoolers, tweens, and adults

Their adult courses are structured in a way that kids may also participate in these courses (terms and conditions apply with regard to age and height restrictions). Their Beginners Course, the “Monkey Moves”/ Green Course, gradually increases up to 5m high above the ground. The “Tarzan Swing”/Blue Course is slightly more challenging and higher and boasts (not an idle one at all with an actual Tarzan Rope which you will swing from a platform, into a suspended cargo net. From here (and this is not for the faint-hearted), you can opt - if you dare – to upgrade to the advanced “High Flying” course which reaches up to 16 metres high, into the beautiful, Hero Gum Trees, with the most challenging obstacles. It’s the perfect outdoor activity for school outings, birthdays, team-building events and many more.
