Celebrate art at START
The St Teresa’s Art Festival! Choose from a wide variety of creative workshops, talks and activities for adults, children from age 4 through to young students (school and university). The START Festival will take visitors on a journey through a variety of art mediums: from painting to virtual reality, and from production to curating. There’ll be workshops and activities in printmaking, screen-printing, etching, origami, watercolour, graffiti, paintball art, clay and virtual reality to name a few. Indulge in freshly prepared burgers, pizza, churros, ice-cream, coffee, pressed juice and more.
St Teresa’s partnership with the Keyes Art Mile and the proximity to established galleries in Rosebank make it the ideal location to host an event of this nature. Here, visitors can share their appreciation for art during the cultural highlight of the year, Art Week Joburg.
START Festival is:
a platform for art collectors looking for affordable art, prints, illustrations and ceramics.
an opportunity for students with an interest in art to learn about careers in art, be it as a curator, an auctioneer, a buyer or an artist.
a space for families wanting to foster an appreciation for art in their children and enjoy a great day out filled with food, fun and creativity.
