And, to make this Mother’s Day super special, City Sightseeing have partnered with Mangwanani African Spa to offer all Moms with a valid City Sightseeing ticket a free Mangwanani African Spa mini treatment while travelling between stops on the day! This special offer is available on the 10 May 2015 from Stop 1 outside the Two Oceans Aquarium.

This makes a special day out with City Sightseeing so affordable for families who want to treat mom.  So delight your mom by buying tickets and the whole family can climb on-board the red hop-on, hop-off bus and experience Cape Town like never before.

Make Mother’s Day a wonderful family outing
A Mother’s Day visit to the Two Oceans Aquarium, a trip up to the top of Table Mountain, high tea at the Mount Nelson Hotel, explore the Castle of Good Hope, a stroll through the spectacular Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, pop in at the World of Birds and Mariner’s Wharf, enjoy some wine tasting in the Constantia valley, explore Cape Town’s CBD, discover District Six or relax on Camps Bay beach.

These are just a few of the many things that you could opt for to celebrate Mother’s Day if you hop on board the City Sightseeing bus.  Buy a 1-Day Ticket and you get to go on four tours – all combined on one exciting ticket:  The Red City Tour, Yellow Downtown Tour, Blue Mini Peninsula tour and Purple Wine Tour of Constantia Valley.

The Red City Tour offers direct access to Table Mountain and also includes stops at attractions like Camps Bay, Sea Point and Long Street. The Yellow Downtown Tour stops at St. Georges Cathedral, the Iziko Museum at the Planetarium, the Mount Nelson Hotel, the SA Jewish Museum, District Six Museum, and the Castle of Good Hope – to name a few.

The Blue Mini Peninsula Tour takes you beyond the city limits, passing the back of Table Mountain, to 14 stops around the Peninsula - including Kirstenbosch, Mariner’s Wharf and the World of Birds. Whilst on the Blue Mini Peninsula Tour also connect to the Purple Wine Tour, which visits three beautiful wine farms in the historical Constantia Valley – Beau Constantia, Groot Constantia and Eagles’ Nest.

A Mother’s Day cruise perhaps?
The 3 for 1 Kids Special applies to the Canal Cruise too.  The City Sightseeing Canal Cruise is a Hop On-Hop Off cruise, which departs from Jetty 1 behind the One & Only Hotel next to the Two Oceans Aquarium at the V&A and stops at the City Lodge, Harbour Bridge, the Westin and Cape Town International Convention Centre.

With the hop-on, hop-off option you might decide to spend some time at any of the other stops along the way and re-join a later boat.  After tea and scones at the One & Only, how do sundowners at the Harbour Bridge hotel sound?  Or perhaps a platter of sushi from Sushi at The Grand inside the Westin Hotel is more mom’s thing?   With the City Sightseeing Canal Cruise you can hop-off the boat to experience any one, or all, of these options – and more.  All of this for only R40 per adult ticket (discounted to R35 if purchased online).

For detailed information on the City Sightseeing tour options, specials, times, costs and stops along the various routes visit the website on www.citysightseeing.co.za or contact City Sightseeing on +27 (21) 511 6000.  Buses operate daily from 09h00 with commentary available in 16 different languages, and includes a fun Kids Channel.

City Sightseeing’s annual 3 for 1 Kids Special runs from 01 May to 15 October, and with this offer two kids under the age of 18 can travel for free on the red open-top bus or the Canal Cruise boat with any paying adult.  It is quick and easy to arrive and buy tickets at the ticket office and hop onto the bus.  Otherwise, if you prefer to buy online then look out for the Specials button on the City Sightseeing home page.  (When buying online ONLY select the adult tickets as the kids tickets will be issued to you at the Tour Office free of charge.  You will receive vouchers for the paid for adult tickets and can then collect your free kids tickets when you arrive at the departure point – Stop 1 at the V&A Waterfront and Stop 5 at 81 Long Street.)
