Laborie Wine Farm and Family Friendly Restaurant in Paarl
This weekend we visited Laborie, Paarl. We have heard that they offer juice tastings to kids while the adults enjoy their wine. Perfect if you are looking to visit wine farm in Paarl.
Security at the gate gave us great instructions to Taste at Laborie. The venue offers magnificent views over Paarl Rock while enjoying charcuterie platters and tapas.
They have a large jungle gym area and fantastic views over the vineyards and yards of free space for the kids to run around, bring a ball and play. The top deck offers mesmerizing mountain views with limited seating.
Squirrels were running around collecting food and we were delighted to find that the Afrikaans Language (taal) monument was not the only monument you can see from the farm. They also host an Anglo-Boer War monument erected in 2005. If you feel like strolling approximately 300 meters to view this and learn about the history, the keys can be collected at Taste @ Laborie Family Restaurant.
We ordered a plain wine tasting instead of a wine pairing together with a biltong platter, Halloumi. Courgettes and Chilli Squids.
The venue is child-friendly but not baby approved as it does not offer breastfeeding facilities, a family restroom or baby changing station. The kids find the juice and sweetie tastings fantastic and the fact that they can rather freely move around is a plus. For the perfect spring day out near Cape Town - do visit them.
