The community of Gaia Waldorf School, in Oude Molen Eco Village, invite all families to enjoy a feast of food, Waldorf crafts, games and entertainment at the 19th annual ‘Spring Fayre’ on Saturday 7 September 2019 from 10am until 3pm.
A wide variety of healthy and delicious food will be available for purchase (including vegetarian and halaal options), while children (young and old) are invited to participate in games to win handmade prizes, or enjoy the live music and dance on the stage.
The ever-popular Waldorf crafts and toys will be on sale - handmade by the school’s parents with all-natural materials for several months before the fayre. A second-hand clothing, books and household goods stall will satisfy any bargain-hunter.
Because the school has deep respect for the environment, the theme “Bee the Change” will remind all fayre-goers to be conscious of their trash as we will be recycling or composting all waste, and using as little plastic as possible.
With Gaia celebrating its 21st year of existence, and with Waldorf schools worldwide celebrating 100 years since the first school of its kind was founded by Rudolf Steiner in Germany in 1919, this year’s Spring Fayre promises to be a special one.
Everyone is invited to receive free tickets via Quicket from 1 August until 30 August. From 1 September, tickets will be on sale at R10 per person. Free parking will be provided within Oude Molen Eco Village (Alexandra Road, Pinelands), and meal & games tickets can be purchased with cash or Zapper on the day.
